1994-1996:
 
Ricky formed his band as the “Eastern Wind Band” in 1994 but at his first gig at Barb’s Pizza, in Carthage, Indiana, the advertisement on the marquee mistakenly read “Eastern Wing Band”– Ricky kept the name and with help from a friend in Greenfield created the eagle’s wing flying east, which is now the known EWB logo.

Ricky and the band continued to play one-nighters and private parties around the Greenfield and Indianapolis area through April of 1996,when he accepted his first house gig at The 2001 Bar on South Shelby Street, where they successfully packed the house for over 4 years on Friday and Saturday nights.

   In the of Spring of 1999, EWB took the summer off from The 2001 Bar with a full schedule performing at several County Fairs, Wedding receptions, Town Festivals and other private parties, before returning to the bar in the Fall of 1999.

    EWB is excited about their efforts this Spring, producing a second CD that will be available to all the wonderful supporters within the next week or so "Eastern Wing Live - Inside Out @ The Outside Inn" and venturing out for private and public performances throughout Indiana and Midwest. SPECIAL THANKS to Shawna for the time she's spent with Eastern Wing. We appreciate her talent behind the drums. Best wishes to her in her new ventures.
